Bindy and Kirsten’s Autumn Wedding – Collingwood Children’s Farm

I first met Bindy and Kirsten (along with seventeen of their closest friends) over three years ago when I was working on my photographic project for marriage equality, the In bed Project. One of their friends, Bree contacted me and said a few of her friends would like to participate in the project. On the day of the shoot, they dragged a bed outside and all nineteen of them piled onto the bed and that’s how – the biggest Bed-In for marriage equality was born!

Fast forward a couple of years and here I am photographing their wedding! I recognised so many faces at their wedding, some from the In Bed Project, others from weddings I’d previously photographed. It was like getting the band back together! So much fun!

We fought long and hard for marriage equality and it’s such a buzz to see so many people from the LGBTIQ community celebrating their love. Love Wins !
