Joss and Elvira – Candid Wedding Photography

Candid wedding photography for people who hate having their photo taken.

I met Joss and Elvira through a friend of mine, Wendy. Joss, Elvira and Wendy have been friends for years. So when Joss and Elvira decided to get married they asked Wendy to be their celebrant. Only thing, Wendy was not a celebrant. So, Wendy did what she had to do.. .and voila…she is now a celebrant. A very good celebrant.

Anyhow, back to how I met Joss and Elvira. Wendy and her partner Sarah had participated in my Marriage Equality project The In Bed Project. When Joss and Elvira heard about the project they put their hand up to join the Bed-In for equality. Despite hating having their photo taken.

Australian law requires that we acknowledge marriage as between “a man and a woman to the exclusion of all others”. Joss and Elvira like hundreds of other Australians in support of marriage equality added the disclaimer –  that even though this is the law in Australia at the moment, they believe in marriage equality and love, regardless of gender.

Thank you Joss and Elvira for your support for marriage equality and especially for inviting me to be your photographer on your “loved up day”.
