LoveFest Perth – Dementia Awareness – Social Change Photography

On Wednesday 25 April 2018, we flew into Perth, WA.   One week later, on Wednesday 2 May, the Kiss Exhibition opened. The Kiss is an exhibition of my portraits of local people with dementia kissing someone they love. The series humanises people living with dementia and demonstrates the importance of human connection.

The Kiss collection was launched on Wednesday 2nd May at Garden City Shopping Centre, with the City of Melville Mayor, media and other dignitaries in attendance.

What a ride! In one short week I had put together an exhibition, quite a feat! but what really mattered was how many beautiful people I met along the way. Families and individuals living with dementia, the amazing support members from Melville City Council, the conference speakers and the carers.
